Follow the Progress: A Downtown Condo Overlooking the River

Interested in following along and taking an inside look at the Tribus design process? We thought so! We’re excited to share step-by-step progress updates from the beginning of the painting process to adding the final touches and everything in-between.

Follow along as we transform this beautiful, light-filled condo overlooking the Reedy River. The star of this condo is certainly the views that are framed by large, floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living areas. In Site Designs, located in Greenville, SC completed the hardscape selections in the condo, and then our team at Tribus proceeded with the interior design.

Luxe Condo Overlooking the Reedy:

Located in the center of downtown Greenville, SC, our client’s Luxe Condo Overlooking the Reedy has views that just don’t stop (just look at them), smart architecture with clean lines and style for days—even in the construction phase. My vision for our client’s condo is to stay true to the architecture of the building’s exterior by keeping the interiors very clean, modern and sleek. Our client loves color and wants to incorporate pops of color throughout the space. Along with pops of color, we’ve incorporated various textures by implementing fabrics, metal finishes and rugs—these elements help to add volume and depth to the interiors. Our plans to keep the walls neutral allows for colors in the upholstery, rugs and pillows to really pop. The main living area has varying shades of blue to provide a reflective quality of water within the space.

The main focal point in this condo are the panoramic views of the Reedy River and surrounding architecture. We have selected a beautiful white sheer for all the window treatments, allowing for privacy, while simultaneously providing silhouettes of the surrounding environment outside of the interiors to enjoy. Much of the new architecture on the West End of Greenville has neon lights that seem to help define a new Greenville, and I love that our client will be able to see out the windows of and enjoy many of the vibrant reflections of what this new Greenville has to offer!

We plan to feature local artists’ work on the interior walls to showcase the client’s appreciation for all things beautiful! The artwork planned for the foyer was part of an original installation that was featured as a diptych in the Aloft Hotel when it first opened in Greenville.

The centerpiece of the main living room will be a baby grand piano, which says a lot about the client’s passion for all things beautiful! When you exit right off the foyer/entry it will be located dead-center in-between the dining room and the living room with a handsome cowhide rug placed underneath the piano to create a separation between the space while highlighting the piano.

The master suite has a custom bed upholstered in the most gorgeous Zinc Textile fabric. Layered beneath this bed is a Tibetan Lamb Rug tipped in Gray. To complete the look, finishing touches of soft pink have been added to provide a bit of whimsy to this space.

The outdoor spaces are clean and sleek as well, but allow for ample seating in addition to container gardens for the client’s viewing pleasure along on the front and back of the condo.
